18-year-old arrested after assaulting his parents, police say

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT) - An 18-year-old ended up behind bars Tuesday afternoon after allegedly assaulting his parents, according to police.
Police also stated that he was drunk during the arrest.
18-year-old Antonio Chick was arrested near the crossroads of 29 1/4 Road and Orchard Avenue after he reportedly ran away following the assault. Police said that the assault took place almost four miles away from where Chick was found, near the crossroads of 26 1/2 Road and G 3/4 Road.
He was arrested without incident, according to police.
Chick was arrested at around 1:15 p.m. and taken to the Mesa County Jail, where he remains as of Wednesday afternoon awaiting arraignment.
He faces the following charges:
- Third degree assault
- Second degree assault
- Harassment
- Criminal mischief
- Obstructing a police officer
- Violation of a protection order
