Students, driver taken to hospital after school bus crashes into dental office
BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. (KCTV/Gray News) - High school students and a bus driver were injured after their school bus crashed into a building on Thursday morning.
According to the Central Jackson County Fire Protection District, a Blue Springs South High School bus crashed into the Comfort Dental business near the intersection of U.S. Highway 40 and Missouri Highway 7 at about 6:45 a.m.

Fire officials stated three students were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. In all, 12 to 15 students were on board at the time of the crash.
The driver was also transported with minor injuries.
Based on preliminary police investigation, the bus driver had the right of way and was making a legal turn when another car failed to yield, causing the two to collide.
The bus driver subsequently lost control, jumped the curve, and struck the building, narrowly missing a gas meter.
The fire department said Comfort Dental was closed for the day as emergency crews evaluated the overall safety and stability of the building.
