Derek Carr hit Davante Adams with his second long touchdown, a 35-yarder on the third snap of overtime to propel the Las Vegas Raiders past the Denver Broncos 22-16. The Raiders and Broncos are both 3-7 but the Raiders swept the Broncos this season. Broncos coach Nathaniel Hackett turned play-calling duties over to Klint Kubiak, his QBs coach. The move paid off with Wilson's first opening-drive touchdown of the season. They've won two in a row and six of seven despite missing several injured regulars. Andrew Cogliano also scored against Darcy Kuemper, the goaltender who backstopped Colorado to the title before leaving in free agency to sign with Washington. Kuemper allowed four goals on 29 shots. The Capitals have lost four in a row and nine of their past 11.
Julius Randle scored a season-high 34 points and the New York Knicks took advantage of Nikola Jokic's absence to win in Denver for the first time in 16 years, rallying past the Nuggets 106-103. Randle hit 1 of 2 free throws to snap a tie with 50.6 seconds left. Jalen Brunson added 21 points, including two free throws with 10.5 seconds remaining. The Knicks handed a team its first home loss for the second straight night after winning in Utah on Tuesday. Denver's loss left the NBA with no unbeaten teams at home. The Australian government confirmed that Novak Djokovic has been granted a visa to compete in the Australian Open in January a year after he was deported over his stance against COVID-19 vaccination. The 21-time Grand Slam champion had his visa cancelled on public interest grounds on Jan. 14 and lost an appeal against deportation in the Full Federal Court. Immigration Minister Andrew Giles says he had approved Djokovic's application to revoke the cancellation decision because the ground for canceling the visa no longer existed. The visa ban could have lasted for three years. The 35-year-old from Serbia is clear to compete at the Australian Open, which runs from Jan. 16-29.
Ryan Tannehill threw two touchdown passes to Nick Westbrook-Ikhine as the Tennessee Titans rallied from a 10-point deficit to beat the Denver Broncos 17-10. The Titans won for the sixth time in seven games to move to 6-3. Tannehill returned after missing the last two games with a sprained right ankle, and he appeared rusty early as the Titans fell behind 10-0 in the second quarter and were trailing 208-53 in total yards shortly before halftime. The District of Columbia attorney general's office has filed a civil consumer protection lawsuit against the Washington Commanders, owner Dan Snyder, the NFL and Commissioner Roger Goodell. D.C. Attorney General Karl Racine announced the civil complaint for colluding to deceive fans at a news conference. Racine says the team and league violated D.C. consumers' rights based on what they knew about the organization's workplace misconduct. The Commanders are the subject of multiple ongoing investigations into workplace culture and potential financial improprieties. Lawyers representing the team say the Commanders welcome this opportunity to defend the organization in a court of law.

Peter McNab, the longtime NHL player who became a familiar voice of the Colorado Avalanche as a broadcaster, has died at age 70. The Avalanche, in a joint statement with Altitude TV, announced his death on social media. McNab released in late summer 2021 that he was battling cancer, but in February he said that it was in remission. McNab was part of the broadcast team when the Avalanche captured their third Stanley Cup last season. The charismatic McNab was with the team every step of the journey since they arrived in town from Quebec before the 1995-96 season.
