Fed Ex Freight trailers catch fire in Grand Junction

Grand Junction, CO- A fire closed down a road in Grand Junction for more than an hour early Friday morning on 22 Road between Highway 6 & 50 and H Road.

Three semi trailers full of new urinal cakes caught fire at the Fed Ex ground terminal about 4:20 a.m.

The Grand Junction Fire Department says the fire destroyed one trailer and heavily damaged two trailers on either side of the destroyed trailer. GJFD says estimated damage from the blaze is $60,000 to the Fed Ex trailers along with unknown damage to the urinal cakes.

No one was hurt. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
