Palisade hosts Mead in state quarterfinals

PALISADE, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT) Palisade and Mead meet again in the quarterfinal round of the 4A State Tournament.

In 2016, Mead beat Palisade 44-40 and several players on this year's Bulldogs team want to avenge that loss.

"There is a lot of want in this week," Jason Bruce said. "It hurt two years ago when we lost to them. It was our own mistakes that lost it for us so we know how much this game means."

"It's big because we all know a lot of us were there and watched that game and experienced that game," said Cameron Tucker. "Our main focus is just making sure we don't turn the ball over a lot, just as every week. This week especially because they are such a talented team."
