Palisade duo sign to CMU football

PALISADE, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT) It is an exciting day for high school athletes around the country.Right here in the Grand Valley, student athletes signed their commitment to play at the collegiate level for the next four years.

This morning, wide receivers Jason Bruce and Sebastian Campbell signed on to play football in Grand Junction at Colorado Mesa. Jason and Sebastian had other options but say the deciding factor was feeling wanted by coach Russ Martin and staying close to home. The boys are excited and eager to get to work.

"The next step is going to be real different," said Bruce. "You're at the top of your game playing in high school and now you're going to be at the bottom starting in college."

"It's cool, you grow up and you're like, wow, you get to go watch that kind of competition," said Campbell. "Someday I want to be able to play for them. So it's a realization, you get to sign a paper to go play for them. It's awesome."
