The Fire FC capital campaign kicked off Saturday afternoon at Walker Field. The event featured FC coaches, as well as local high school and college coaches taking on the Fire FC 19 and under boys team.
The event was put on to raise funds to help build a 1.6 million dollar indoor soccer facility that will have two field and office space. The end goal for the campaign is to pay off the facility through donations and to use the money to offset cost for club members. And according the board of directors the kickoff event was a huge success.
"We have been blown away by what a great turnout we had for this game. This game is such a fun way for us to kickoff this campaign, and we are so excited to begin this journey to raise money for our new indoor facility here on the Western Slope," said Brenda Chesney.
