Crosstown rivals, Fruita Monument and Grand Junction, met on the hardwood Tuesday night for a high school hoops double header.
The Tiger and Wildcat boys were neck and neck until a run in the third quarter allowed Junction to pull away and take the game 66-59.
On the girls side, it was a completely different story. Fruita Monument girls hit the ground running and never looked back. They handily defeated Grand Junction 44-19. Riley Snyder led the Cats with 11 points.
