GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT) Grand Junction wrestling is coming off their third straight Warrior Classic Championship.
Three Tiger wrestlers were best in their class with Dawson Collins, Hunter Tobiasson and Keiran Thompson all standing tall on the podium on Saturday Night.
For the state champion Collins, it was his third straight title. Thompson improved from a third place finish at the Warrior Classic last year.
Grand Junction hopes that the successful weekend can help springboard themselves into a great start to 2019.
"It felt really good to finally achieve one of my main goals," said Thompson. "I put in a lot of hard work over the summer and extra time dedicating myself to running more and lifting. It felt really good to get that win but now it's time for state obviously."
