HS Softball: Palisade overcomes slow start, wins 18-8

PALISADE, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT) The Bulldogs got out to a slow start in their final Western Slope League game against Eagle Valley. The Devils scored on a bases loaded hit-by-pitch to take a 1-0 lead in the first.

In the home half of the inning, Palisade squandered the bases loaded with one out. A throw out at home and a force out at third ended the inning with Eagle Valley in front 1-0. The Devils defense would deteriorate as they go on to give up 18 runs in the loss in Palisade.

The Bulldogs will play at Durango on Friday. Eagle Valley will travel to Delta on Saturday.
