HS Girls Track: Largent sisters race to the finish line

De Beque, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT) Senior, Jentry Largent already has the next four years planned. Jentry will attend Colorado Springs on a Track and Field scholarship in the Fall. As for her sister Railey, she is only a freshman and ready to make her stamp at De Beque High and break all of her sister's records.

Railey already has 5 first place finishes this season. Railey ran a 12.85 in the 100-meter dash earlier this month and is now ranked 6th in the state among all freshman.

"In the household, it got very intense. We were both just back and forth. It's a very completive household and when I got that mark, I mean, I was just off the walls, I couldn't believe it. My sister is always somebody I've always looked up to, so it wasn't super intimidating coming in. She's taught me a lot of what I know about the sport. I knew I was going to have to work really hard this season in order to keep up with her because she is such a great athlete." says Railey Largent.

Railey has already beaten her sister's personal record this season. Railey got to race her older sister, at the Ram Charger Invitational on Saturday. Railey came in fifth place beating her sister in the 100-meter dash by just half of a second.
