GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT) Grand Junction put on a show offensively Thursday night with a 50-14 win over city rival Central.
The Tigers got on the board quickly with their first drive ending in a touchdown pass from AJ Mariz to Dillon Smith.
Grand Junction would score three touchdowns in second quarter. One was scored on a quarterback run by Mariz. The second would be a one yard run by Nicholas Burke. The third was just before the half. Mariz throws a deep ball to Aiden Johnson who put the Tigers up 28-0 at half.
Central ended GJ's 28 unanswered scoring run with a touchdown in the third. The Tigers continued to succeed moving the ball on offense leading to a 50-14 win.
Grand Junction will play Liberty next Saturday. Central will play Palisade next Friday.
