GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT) Jason Bruce took the opening kickoff 91 yards to the end zone on Thursday night for No. 4 Palisade football which led to the, 20-3, season opening win over No. 7 Durango.

The first time the Demon offense took the field it turned into points for Palisade. Jordan Woolverton tried to find a receiver in the flats, but had his pass picked off by Cam Tucker. Tucker would take it back for the pick-six to make it 13-0 Palisade with 10:40 left in the first quarter.

There was only a combined 10 points scored in the 2nd half as Palisade improves to 1-0 with the top 10 win. The Bulldogs will be back in action next Friday night on the road at Green Mountain.
