MISSOULA, Mont. (KKCO/KJCT) After falling behind the Grand Junction Rockies score eight runs from the fifth through seventh innings to top the Missoula Osprey, 10-7.
Hunter Stovall’s home run brought the Rockies within one while John Cresto’s three-run shot gave Grand Junction the 6-4 lead in the fifth inning. It was Stovall’s seventh and Cresto’s third of the year, respectively.
The Rockies extended the lead in the sixth when Coco Montes and Niko Decolati homered. It was Montes’ eighth home run of the season. Decolat’s solo shot was his ninth.
Trent Fennell went 4.0 innings allowing four runs on three hits. Micahel Agis gets the win going 2.0 innings giving up one run in relief.
With the win the Rockies improve to 36-28 and 16-10 in the second half of the season.
The Rockies host a four-game series with the Idaho Falls Chukars starting at 7:30 P.M. on Saturday
