The Pioneer League nominated the Grand Junction Rockies for the John H. Johnson President's Award.
It honors a complete baseball franchise that demonstrates stability while making contributions to the community and baseball.
In 2017 the Rockies raised more than $100,000 in donations and gifts.
Also for the second year in a row the team participated in the Kids Aid Backpack Program to help students in need get school supplies. The team also held summer baseball clinics.
The winner will be announced at December's baseball winter meetings in Orlando, Fla.
