GJ Rockies: Rox advance to first Pioneer League Championship

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT) The Grand Junction Rockies are advancing to their first Pioneer League Championship Series in franchise history after the 6-5 win over the Ogden Raptors on Monday.

Niko Decolati's two-RBI single put the Rockies on the board in the first inning.

Decolati had three hits on the night.

John Cresto added a two-run home run in the second inning as Grand Junction led 6-0 going into the third.

The Raptors scored five unanswered runs capped off by a two-run home run in the sixth inning from Ronny Brito.

Moises Perez hit a solo home run in the fifth inning.

The Rockies bullpen pitched 3.0 scoreless innings of relief after Alfredo Garcia surrendered the pair of home runs.

Ryan Rolison went 3.0 innings allowing one run on three hits. He struck out six batters on the night.

Grand Junction will take on the Great Falls Voyagers in a best-of-three series beginning at 6:40 P.M. on Tuesday at Suplizio Field.

Game two will be Thursday at 7 P.M. in Great Falls. Game three, if necessary will be at 7 P.M. on Friday in Great Falls as well.
