GJ Rockies: Rockies fall short in series opener against Missoula

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT) The Grand Junction Rockies jumped out to the 1-0 lead in the second inning on Daniel Montano's third home run of the season. From that point on the Rockies would only score one more run as they fell in the series opener to the Missoula Osprey, 4-2.

Ryan Rolison started on the mound for manager Jake Opitz and went 3.0 innings allowing one run on two hits. Will Tribucher took the loss in relief giving up two runs in and 2.1 innings.

Cesar Garcia led the Osprey offensively going 3-4 with two RBI's in the game. Game two of the series is set for 6:40 P.M. on Tuesday from Suplizio Field.
