GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT) The Grand Junction Rockies went back to school as the international players gave English presentations for Central High School.
Students asked questions for the players to answer.
"That's what we hope to do with their education is allow them to take the skills that they're building and apply it to overcome whatever challenge, whatever setting they're put into." said Rockies' English teacher Jacob Pingel.
The Spanish-speaking Rockies have been learning English all summer to prepare.
"It's important because it's a second language in every world," said pitcher Alejandro Mejia. "It's good. In the MLB we can speak English and Spanish."
