GJ Rockies: Pitching leads Rockies to series win

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT) The Grand Junction Rockies dropped game two of the series against the Helena Brewers on Saturday night, but bounced back in a big way on Sunday. The Rockies pounded out 15 hits in the series finale on their way to the 6-1 win.

The Ohio State product Ryan Feltner started on the mound and continued his strong season. He threw three hit less innings while striking out four Brewer hitters. The performance lowered his ERA to now 0.79 on the year.

Coco Montes led the team offensively in the top half of the order, going 3-4 with an RBI double on the afternoon.

Grand Junction will continue their seven game road trip on Monday, when they open up a four game series with the Missoula Osprey. The Rockies took two of three from the Osprey in Grand Junction a week ago.
