GJ Rockies: Offense comes alive, team tops Missoula

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT) The Grand Junction Rockies scored ten runs combined over the final four innings to top the Missoula Osprey, 11-4, on Tuesday.

Hunter Stovall and Niko Decolati each homered in the Rockies' four-run sixth inning. It was Stovall's sixth and Decolati's eighth home run of the season, respectively.

The Rockies added six runs in the eighth inning capped off by Christopher Navarro's two-run double.

As a team the Rockies recorded 12 hits.

Jared Skolnicki pitched 3.2 innings of shutout baseball after taking over in relief for Cayden Hatcher.

Hatcher went 2.1 innings allowing two runs on two hits in the start.

The Rockies are now 31-25 overall and 10-7 in the second half of the season. Grand Junction is in first place in the Pioneer League South by one game over the Ogden Raptors.

The final game of the series against Missoula is set for 6:40 P.M. on Wednesday at Suplizio Field
