GJ Rockies: Five-run eighth sparks Rockies victory

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT) Resse Berberet's grand slam capped off a five-run eighth inning as the Grand Junction Rockies defeated the Missoula Osprey, 7-4.

It was Berberet's tenth home run of the season.

The Rockies were down, 4-1, heading into the seventh when they scored six runs over the final three innings to secure the victory.

Eris Filpo went 6.0 innings allowing two runs on six hits.

Colton Harlow earned the win in relief after pitching a scoreless eighth inning.

With the win the Rockies took two of three games from Missoula improving to 12-7 in the second half of the season and 32-25 overall.

Grand Junction has a travel day on Thursday before starting a seven-game road trip beginning in Helena against the Brewers at 7:05 P.M. on Friday.
