CMU soccer names men's, women's head coaches

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT) CMU soccer has found their new leaders. Colorado Mesa announced the hiring of Danielle Thurman as the new women's head soccer coach. Thurman served as the assistant coach with the Mavericks for the past three years.

Prior to CMU, Thurman was the head coach at Otero junior college where she led the Rattlers to a first place regional finish. She played soccer at Eastern New Mexico University earning second team conference honors and ranks second in their program for most assists.

With Todd Padgett taking the role of Director of Soccer Operations, Andrew Conniff has been named the new men's soccer head coach.

Conniff served as the head and assistant coach at South Dakota School of Mines for four seasons. Conniff played soccer at Benedictine University and earned a masters degree at Leeds Beckett in the United Kingdom. Both coaches are excited to help lead their program starting later this year.
