GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT) Colorado Mesa held a celebration at the Blue Moon Bar and Grille for their 17 athletes they signed on Wednesday. The Mavericks looked to address their depth on the team as well as bring in quarterbacks that are familiar with the system as former starting quarterback Eystin Salum moves on.
Coach Martin believe's he's brought in the right guys with great character and great talent.
"We go back to last year, we were a very young football team," said head coach Russ Martin. "We have a lot of talent coming back and we wanted to bring in some really good talent. We were able to bring in some local talent, we've been able to bring in some people from out of the region. I think this is going to be a great class and I think it's going to be a great compliment to the guys we have in the program."
