GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT) CMU lacrosse's memorable year continues as two mavericks earned Division II honors. The intercollegiate women's lacrosse coaches association announced their division II All-American teams.
Olivia Hayden was selected to the First Team All-America. The senior had 62 goals, a program record, and 15 assists in 19 games this season. She led the nation in caused turnovers with 66 this season. Hayden was the also the RMAC Midfielder of the Year, Academic Player of the Year and Summit Award winner this season.
Erin Kohler was named to the Second Team All-America. Kohler had gathered 158 ground balls in her career and 104 caused turnovers which are both second in program history. She was also named the RMAC Defender of the Year. This is the first time a Maverick has earned the All-America honor and two were selected with 46 other Division II athletes.
The Divisional Players of the Year will be announced on June 13.
