CMU: Women's Basketball fall in Semi-Finals

Grand Junction, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT) Mavericks fall to Lubbock Christian in Semi-FInals. It was a tight game throughout all four quarters. The Mavs shot a little over 78% from the line.

Couple factors played into tonight's game, some might say one were the officials. In the first quarter, at least three Mav starters were in foul trouble with 2. By the end of the game, four Mavericks had four fouls apiece and 25 total as a team. Another...were turnovers. The Mavericks had 15 and the Chaps capitalized on their mistakes, scoring 12 points. The Mavs were able to grab a couple of possessions in the last 45 seconds, but there wasn't enough time left.

Mavericks lose their 8-game winning streak and their first loss at home, 56-53. This ends their season at an outstanding 27-4 overall. Things didn't go the way they wanted, but they do get to call themselves the 2019 RMAC Champions.
