CMU Women's Basketball: Lady Mavs start RMAC play hosting Western State

Coming into this season Colorado Mesa women’s basketball welcomed in nine new faces to the program, but so far the ladies have meshed pretty well together out on the court.

Through the first three weeks of the regular season the lady Mavs are perfect on the season at 6-0 .

Defense has been the name of the game for CMU early on. The past three games they have held their opponents to under 50 points per game.

Now with their non-conference schedule in the books they will now shift their focus to RMAC play that begins Tuesday night at 5:30 P.M against Western State University.

Even though the lady Mountaineers are 3-3, the Mavericks know they will have to bring their A game to come out on top.

“We are going to have our work cut out for us. We got to play well; I mean its opening game of conference. I know both of us really want to get a win," said head coach Taylor Wagner.
