CMU Women's Basketball: Brandon, Turner lead giant comeback win over Dixie State

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT) Colorado Mesa overcame a 23 point deficit to get a win at home over RMAC rival Dixie State, 59-54.

The Mavericks were held to 21 points in the first half. Dixie State took advantage of CMU's slow start by sinking over 50% of their shots in the first half. The Trailblazers shot 6-9 from beyond the three point line to take a 38-21 lead into the third.

CMU picked up their intensity on the defensive end and only allowed 8 points in the third and fourth quarters. Colorado Mesa exploded for 27 points in the fourth quarter including going a perfect 14-14 at the free throw line to get the comeback win at home.

Next weekend the Mavericks will host Colorado Christian and Regis.
