CMU Swim & Dive: Dixon, Forbord earn RMAC honors again

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT) The CMU swim and dive team has been performing at an elite level this season. If there is any evidence, check the conference athlete of the week list from this season. Each week there has been a Maverick swimmer or diver named the athlete of the week.

Brittany Dixon and Sierra Forbord, both who have won the honor before, have been named the Women's Diver and Swimmer of the Week award winners again.

Last week, CMU women won their final home dual against Western Colorado 192-67. Dixon, the junior diver, has earned the honor four times this season. She came out on top of the one and three meter events with championship qualifying scores.

Sophomore Sierra Forbord won the Swimmer of the Week for the third time this season. She swept all three of her events while also helping the 200 free team to a win as well.

The divers will be back on the boards on February 1st at the Air Force Invitational in their final regular season meet. After that, it's the RMAC championships that begin February 12th.
