GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT) Today it was announced that 13 players made the All-RMAC team. Six made it on the first team and three were honored with gold glove selections.
Kimbri Herring was named Pitcher of the Year with a 19-3 record and eight shutouts. AnnMarie Torres was named the RMAC Player of the Year after leading the conference in batting, slugging, on base percentage and RBI this season.
"I think there is a lot of great players throughout this conference," said head coach Erik Kozel. "For Ann to win that award just is a testament to everybody else noticing her and her abilities up and down the conference. For others to see that as well is kind of the ultimate gauge of success."
"It's a great accomplishment and I'm really excited to get it," said Torres. "I just hope I can keep it going. Also, my team, there's 13 of us that are on that list. It's a great accomplishment for the team in general."
