CMU Soccer: Padgett promoted to Director of Soccer Operations

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT) The soccer program at CMU is moving in a new direction with former men's head coach Todd Padgett taking over as Director of Soccer Operations for both the men's and women's programs.

Padgett will move from a coaching role to an administrative role and oversee both programs.

Padgett has had success with the men's program at CMU. In five seasons, he has a 75-19-14 record with two RMAC championships in 2014 and 2016. He has also led the Mavericks to the NCAA tournament all five years he has coached.

Padgett has experience with women's soccer as well. He coached three seasons at Eastern New Mexico.

With this move, both programs will immediately look for a new head coach and graduate assistant to take over. In his new role, Padgett will help create training plans, scout opponents and help organize and coordinate the summer soccer camps.
