CMU Men's Lacrosse: CMU falls in home opener

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT) Colorado Mesa hosted their first home game of the regular season against Rollins College.

The Mavericks got out to a quick start with two goals within the first five minutes. Rollins scored three straight to take the lead. CMU trailed 5-3 going into the half. The Tars scored seven goals in the second half and won 12-8.

Jack Griffin led the team and scored three goals for Colorado Mesa. Christian Cherry had 14 saves but allowed 12 goals and is tagged with the loss.

CMU is 3-3 and will travel to Florida on Wednesday to play at the University of Tampa.
