The Mavericks will start back into RMAC play on Saturday night taking on the Metro State Roadrunners. Before that they will travel to Magness arena tomorrow to take on the University of Denver in an exhibition game with a 7:00 P.M tip off.
Headed into the second half of the season the focus will be on taking advantage of the opportunity that the Christmas break provides for the kids on the basketball floor.
"We are better than 6-6 and were better than 2-4 in the conference as well. We were right there in most of our games. We just need to put together the full 40 minutes and that is the big key for the 2nd half push."
Colorado Mesa comes in at 10th in the conference at 2-4, but the gap between the 5 and 10 spots in the standings is only separated by 2 games. If the Mavs can come out of the break hot, there is a real possibility for them to jump in the top 5 with a key game against metro state on Saturday night.
