GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT) Eystin Salum and Peter Anderson both broke school records in Saturday's 64-63 win over Adam's State.
Salum, the senior quarterback, has now thrown for 5,507 career yards. He passes Jake Logue who set the record from 1992-1994.
Anderson passed Drew Bohanan's record of 1,236 yards on Saturday with 1,285 yards. With one game left in the season, both Salum and Anderson can further establish themselves as the top Maverick passing and receiving yard record holders.
"Both of those guys have had outstanding years," said head coach Russ Martin. "They've had outstanding careers. Eystin has had a great career here in his time. Peter broke the single season record as far as for the yards and it was all on the same play. That part was really, really good and it's exciting to have those guys a part of this program."
