CMU Baseball: Mavs hot offense to face UCCS

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT) CMU baseball averaged 15.5 runs per game in their four-game set against Colorado Christian.

The Mavs belted three home runs and scored 62 runs on their way to winning three of four games.

"I think that if we continue that during practice this week and guys continue to work on things I think we're going to be just fine," said senior Garrett Ball.

Caleb Farmer led the Mavs batting .667 with five walks and two home runs.

"Once we get down to the end of the year we're going to have to be just that much better," said Farmer. "This beginning of the year is just get all the errors and mistakes out of the way."

Farmer was named RMAC Player of the Week.

The Mavs begin a four-game series against UCCS at 4:30 P.M. on Friday at home.
