Grand Junction, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT) To say Jentry Largent had a challenging couple of years would be an understatement.
Largent wore a back brace her sophomore year for 18 hours a day for severe scoliosis. She endured a Lisfranc injury, a deep bone bruise, and a knee injury.
"It was another mental obstacle. I've really had to overcome that adversity," says Jentry Largent.
After missing her junior year, Jentry averaged 15 points a game totaling 65 assists and 50 steals her senior year.
Jentry has enjoyed every moment in her last year. despite her hardship, giving up was never an option. she has accepted a scholarship for track and field at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs.
"It's the best feeling in the world. Especially getting a second chance is just amazing" said Jentry.
