Woman with cerebral palsy headed to Miss Colorado Pageant

FRUITA, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)-- A young woman from Colorado will compete in the Miss Colorado Pageant this Fall.

She has cerebral palsy, and is currently staying in Fruita.

Mariah Senn is 18 years old and was born prematurely. She only weighed one pound, and three ounces when she was born 26 weeks early.

But she says she is on a mission this Fall; she will be competing in the Miss Colorado Pageant.

Mariah says regardless of when that happens, she has a message for younger girls watching the competition.

"I think my message to them is don't change who you are for anybody else. I want them to be like, 'Oh, so that girl got up there, and she may walk different, but she's killin it!'" Senn said.

The pageant will be on Saturday, October 26th, over in Greeley.
