GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)-- The state of Colorado was excited to announce another resource for veterans in the Grand Valley Friday.
A state-owned, former Colorado National Guard armory in Grand Junction is the new home of the Western Region One Source, which will help serve the needs of Colorado service members, veterans, and their families who live in the 24 counties along the Western Slope.
Friday they held an open house.
“It’s really important that a veteran can come to one place and be connected. Not drive all over the place to find help. Now they can come to one spot and be connected,” said Joanne Iglesias, Director of Veterans Affairs West.
More than 400,000 veterans live in Colorado, with about ten percent living west of the Rockies.
One Source opens to the public on Monday at 482 28 Road in Grand Junction.
