Veterans Affairs committee meet to improve patient experience
The Grand Junction Veterans Affairs hosted the VA national committee this week.
VA leaders from across the country discussed how to improve patient experience. Their goal is to make care at VA centers nationwide easy, effective and they hope workers will make an emotional connection with their patients.
"88 percent of the people who walk through this door, any day, are thrilled with their care," says Jennifer Purdy, Executive Director Veterans Affairs patient experience. "They rate us at the highest level and they trust the VA to take care of them."
The committee chose to meet at the Grand Junction VA Medical Center because it's considered a national leader. The Grand Junction VA's patient feedback consistently exceeds the national trust scores.
