GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)-- The Grand Junction Police Department says that two men are in the hospital after an apparent stabbing Wednesday night.

GJPD reports that officers were dispatched shortly before midnight after they got a call about a person in the road. Officers arrived in the area of Broadway and West Avenue in Grand Junction.
They say they found a man with stab wounds on his neck and head.
We’re told he was taken to the hospital after giving officers information about what had happened. From there, police say they located another man under the Grand Avenue bridge who had stab wounds on his chest.
He was also taken to the hospital. Police say they have detained two people and the investigation is ongoing. There is no word yet on how the victims are doing.
Police say they do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the public in connection to the incident.
