GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT) -- If you've lived in Grand Junction for any length of time you've probably traveled down North Avenue. And if you've lived here a long time, you've probably seen it change quite a bit over the years.
Do you remember the drive-in theater? It was the second drive-in theater in the state of Colorado.
That's just one example of some of the history on North Avenue that the Mesa County Historical Society shared with folks today as a part of their oral history program.
"I think they're going to take away a lot of memories because I see a lot of local people here that have cruised North Avenue and it's just a lot of good memories," Priscilla Mangnall, president of the Mesa County Historical Society, said.
