Three-year-old autistic boy from Eagle County missing

More than 500 volunteers and first responders have shown up to help search for Sebastian Rodriguez, a three-year-old autistic boy who went missing in Eagle County on June 5.

The Eagle County PIO says that an article of clothing that was found in the Eagle River on Sunday was positively identified as Sebastian's. As a result, the search area was expanded to include additional downstream areas. The phone he was carrying when he went missing was also found in the river below the apartment complex where he lived.

Starting Monday, Vail Mountain Rescue's search areas will be consolidated to focus on the river, and land-based searches will be suspended unless additional information becomes available.

Sebastian was reported missing from Eagle Villas apartments on June 5 at about 9:20 p.m.
