GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)-- Before 5 AM on February 4th, 22-year-old Jacob Hunger of Grand Junction was taken into custody by Police, for driving a car onto the Lincoln Park Golf Course, causing thousands of dollars of damage to the fairways.
But police say that was just his final stop of the morning.
Hunger was also involved in a hit and run crash on Mountain View Street in Orchard Mesa, and also struck a fence, an electrical pole, and damaged landscaping on private property.
The golf course says this won't be a simple fix.
"The amount of money and care that it takes to run a golf course, its very disrespectful and just a huge slap in the face that somebody would come out and damage property, for no reason," said Head Golf Professional, Brian Franco.
Staff at the course said a total of 4 different holes and parts of the driving range were damaged too.
