GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT News)-- The St. Mary's mammography and breast care center fully reopened on Wednesday after its renovation.
The center was updated to look more modern to match its state-of-the-art technology. Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in women in Colorado. State health officials say one in seven women will be diagnosed.
“You can get all the latest care and technology right here in your own backyard and sleep in your own bed as you're getting the same care that you'd get at any major cancer center in the country,” said St. Mary’s medical director, Joyce Sekharan.
There are an estimated 61,000 breast cancer survivors living in Colorado.
