Semi crash closes lane of EB I-70

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)-- UPDATE: 6:22 p.m. The interstate was back open at about 6 p.m. Sunday, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.

Original story: One lane of eastbound Interstate 70 is still closed Sunday morning after a semi-truck crashed near the Horizon Drive exit.

The two people in the semi weren’t hurt after it jackknifed and rolled down an embankment near exit 31 at about 9 a.m. Sunday. The Grand Junction Police Department said it would take most of the day to clean up the crash.

It’s not clear what caused the crash.
