PALISADE, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT News)-- A local animal non-profit is purchasing something they say will help treat animals in the comfort of their own homes.
Friday was the seventh Annual "Wine and Whiskers" Gala put on by Roice-Hurst Humane Society. They announced they're purchasing a 33 ft. customary veterinary vehicle. They say it will allow their services to go out to the areas where animals can be cared for on site.
"This event is important not just because it raises money, but because it really gives us a chance to connect one-on-one with our donors and let them know what their contributions have done over the past year, and what they are going to be doing in the future," says Executive Director of Roice-Hurst, Anna Stout.
There was also a pet-themed silent auction.
