GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT)-- Roice Hurst is hoping to expand their community outreach with their new vet clinic on wheels.
The custom-built truck will allow the team to do medical services on site, and go out and spay and neuter cats in their target area. But that's not all...the shelter is teaming up with Mesa County Health Department to help pet owners with their health while their pets are being serviced.
“It’s going to allow us to do a lot of our own medical services on site, with our shelter veterinarian. Currently we don’t have a medical facility that’s adequate for performing surgeries or doing many of the medical procedures we need to do for our pets.”
