GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)-- The Roice-Hurst Humane Society is hosting the fourth-annual Wüffstock Music Festival on September 8 at Lincoln Park, featuring Leon & The Revival, The Gold Company, Stray Grass, and Flat Top Reed.

Rain or shine, the concert's gates will open at 10:45 a.m. at Lincoln Park and the bands will play from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

There is a $20 entry fee for everyone above the age of 12, and kids 12 and younger along with dogs, are free. Tickets also include entry into the GJ Parks and Recreation Dog Days of Summer dog swim event at the Lincoln Park Pool, which runs from 10am-2pm.

This is the largest dog-friendly music festival in the valley and it has been going on for four years.

"We started Wüffstock four years ago because we wanted to create a space where people could spend time bonding with their pets while doing what people come to this valley to do—spend time outdoors, listen to live music and eat and drink our local fare," says Anna Stout, RHHS Executive Director. "There are fewer and fewer opportunities for dog owners to get out and do that here."

The Roice-Hurst Humane Society is a local non-profit animal shelter and adoption center that works to promote the bonds between pets and their people through animal sheltering and adoptions, pet behavior counseling, educational activities, and resources for the community that aims to keep pets in their homes.
