GRAND JUNCTION,Colo. School starts next week for most of District 51 and the Mesa County Public Health Department is having walk-in clinics for vaccines.
On Wednesday Aug.7 and Saturday Aug.10, parents can bring their students to the clinic without an appointment.
All parents need is the student's immunization records and an insurance card, if possible.
"It's very important for students to be caught up on their immunizations because they spend so much time in close quarters with each other, so as long as their vaccinated, their protecting themselves, their protecting those around them and we're preventing the spread of disease from student to student," says Public Health Clinic Allison Sanchez.
On Wednesday the walk-in clinic goes from 4-7 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon.
