Presidents Day DUI enforcement begins

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT)-- As people get ready for a three-day weekend to celebrate President's Day, Colorado law enforcement is preparing too, for DUI enforcement.

Throughout the week CDOT, CSP, and other agencies will be boosting patrols on the roads, keeping an eye out for drunk drivers.

During the Super Bowl DUI enforcement, over 200 Colorado drivers were arrested.

"Even somebody that's had one drink is not a sober driver. So get a ride with somebody who's sober, who has not been drinking or doing anything else, so you can get home safely and keep the other motorists safe,” says CSP Trooper Lucas Johnson.

The Presidents Day DUI enforcement will go on until February 24th.
