GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT) -- UPDATE: The Mesa County Coroner’s office identified Samantha Haber, 52, of Fruita as the woman hit and killed by a truck on Interstate 70 Tuesday night.
The coroner said she was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of death was blunt for injuries and the manner was accident, according to the coroner.
Original story: Traffic is slow around mile marker 30 on I-70 after a pedestrian was hit by a semi-truck. Grand Junction police announced Wednesday night the woman died as a result of the incident, the coroner's office will identify her.
It all happened a little before 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
One lane is closed, mile marker 25 to around 31, eastbound, according to the Grand Junction Police Department.
The Grand Junction Police Department is handling the investigation, Colorado State Patrol was also helping with traffic.
